Home -> RV-9 and RV-9A topic: Avery tool kit vs. others

New member!
I am almost ready to pick up my -9A tail kit, but I
don't have all my tools yet. I plan to buy a
specialized RV tool kit, but have a few questions.
The Avery kit costs twice as much as the Aircraft
Spruce & Specialty kit, and only has a few more tools
from what I can tell, such as the hand
riveter/dimpler. It looks like I will be farther
ahead to buy the Spruce kit and add to it. Is there a
noticeable quality difference in the kits? Thanks for
the help.

RB,
Before you buy, check with Mike at Cleveland Aircraft Tools. Their quality is excellent, and the service is even better. Mike let me exchange the Tasco squeezer for the "Main Squeeze", as well as letting me upgrade from Taylor to Sioux air riveter and drill. I have bought items from Avery and others, but Cleveland gets my vote.
