Good morning friends,

Many thanks to Dave Nichols for sending me pictures showing the
installation of the brake calipers and wheels. These explained my
problem with drawing c2 right away. Make a note everybody that the
mount for the calipers can be mounted four ways which makes the
process confusing. Confirming that the caliper goes to the rear makes
the job a snap.

Seeing the airplane on its gear is a fantastic feeling. Since I don't
have the engine yet my kid donated a skateboard which I put a pillow
on top of and bungee'd to the rear bottom of the fuse. The result was
an instant RV-9/RV-9A which was easy to wheel out of the garage and
park on the driveway. With my taildragger/nose wheel airplane on the
driveway I spent the next several hours cleaning out the garage. What
a job! Anyway, everything is clean and the airplane now looks really
big in the garage. The ease of moving the plane with the skateboard
on the tail is kind of surprising and it is an easy one person job.
This is so truly inspiring that I didn't sleep well last night with
genuine excitement. After spending this much time in the garage with
this project it is pretty neat to get so excited still on the building
process. Anyway, I need to leave for work now, I am just so amped
right now I was hoping to share some of the entusiasm with fellow
builders.
Keep pounding those rivets,
Bryan Wood
