Home -> RV-9 and RV-9A topic: Comparison: 9a vs. Cessna 172

Author: "Brian" <bsowell@...> Time: Thu Oct 31, 2002 1:17 pm PST Link

I made a comparison of the 9a with a 160hp Lycoming engine and a new
Cessna 172 and put the excel file in the 'files' section. I got the
stats from Van's and from Cessna's websites. All of the mph and
miles figures have been converted knots and nm for an apples to
apples comparison because that's what I'm most familiar with.

The 9a is an amazing plane.

If you notice any mistakes, please let me know.

Would wish to check out this comparison...
For those of us who are Microsoft Free (don't use Excel), could you post
in a non-proprietary format?
Thanks so much.

Done. I posted it as HTML also. There are a few minor glitches in
Excel's HTML 'save as' routine, but it's viewable. Refresh if you
see some lines writing on top of other lines.
