Has anybody actually counted the number of rivets in an RV-9A?
I'd be curious to know approximately how many are in each
major section (rudder, elevators, wings, stabilizers, fuselage,
etc.)
Of course, what would really be interesting to know is what
inspired you to actually count all the rivets!

Darwin Esh told me that he kept track... (N149DE)
I don't remember the final number though. I think it was in the
15,000 range.

Does a drilled out and replaced rivet count as one or two? This might add substantually to my rivet count.
