I am very proud to finally say that a major milestone in my RV9
project has been achieved. No, I didn't get an engine or a cool
glass panel display, yet. I did, however, pass my private pilot
checkride today!! It took many hours and thousands of dollars but it
is an essential part of my project that is now accomplished. Now I
can focus on finishing my fuselage!

Congratulation, you have a right to be proud! Less than one half of one
percent of Americans ever reach that goal. Now, as with most of us, on to

I send my sincere congratulations. You have achieved a milestone in
your life. Mine was 7/9/80 and that day is forever etched in my
memory. May you carry the enthusiasm that you have now, forever.
Though I have been a pilot all these years, there is no other feeling
that matches pushing the throttle in, checking the gauges and keeping
her on the centerline and to feel her straining for the sky. Then, in
a lilisecond of time, we cease to be earthbound creatures.
We are a select group who can truly appreciate was it is to be a
pilot, versus a passenger. Thumbs up. I hope that you had family and
friends to share this very special day with you. And, thank you for
sharing it with us.
