Home -> RV-9 and RV-9A topic: King KT76C Transponder

Author: "ksouthar" <n162u@...> Time: Sun Apr 10, 2005 12:03 am PDT Link

I am in the final wiring stages. I have a pin-out of the wiring for
the transponder from Aero Electric. It is here that I've run into a
bit of a problem. The diagram shows two rows of pins. The top is
numbered 1 through 12. The bottom A through N. This is were it gets
sticky. There are only 12 pin slots and the A - N is 14 slots?
Anyone care to shed some light on this curious event?

Look closely at the letters, I would not expect to see an "I" or a "G" because of confusion with the numbers "1" and "6".

You will find that the letters G and I are not used.
I guess they are hard to differentiate from others.
These and a couple more have been left out of the
connector alphabet for generations.
