I would be interest to know if anyone has fitted an RV9 with a Wilksch
diesel WAM 120.

Nobody has actually flown an RV-9 with a WAM-120 yet. There are
several RV-9As in build intending to fit the WAM-120 and with any luck
the first two should be flying this summer.

I have a WAM-120 on order and hope to be flying early next year.

What's the latest on Wilksch? Has the WAM120 flown in any customer-built plane yet? What
does the engine cost in US dollars?

I understand from Wilksch that there are 9 RV9's currently under build
that are going for the WAM120. The lead builder is shortly going to
be ready for his first engine runs. We have got an early engine
hanging on the engine mount of our QB but will be at least a year away
from flying at this rate.
I have flown in the Thorp with the Wam120 & was impressed by its
performance. I have also been round the production facility at
Stround. Also an impressive sight.
The real challenge is however going to be in the engine cowl, to get
efficient cooling with an attractive look.

RV9A QB fuselage on it's u/c engine mounted but still lots to do.
