Home -> RV-9 and RV-9A topic: ELT antenna location

Author: "allanchrister" <allanchrister@...> Time: Thu Apr 28, 2005 11:43 am PDT Link

I have the AmeriKing ELT, and mounted it just behind the pilot's seat
in the upper baggage compartment. However, locating the antenna is
problematic - any suggestions (polite) where I can/should put it? I'm
reluctant to mount it underneath the a/c and putting it on top
interferes with my sliding canopy. I also know about monting it under
the fg empennage cover, but that seems to require a cable extension....

suggestions?

Allan

I put my ELT Antenna on top just aft of the open canopy using a RAMI AV-10 antenna.
