I'm trying to put together the panel for my RV-9A project and would like to
hear your experiences with integrating various EFIS, engine monitors, and
ground based navaids (VOR,LOC,GS). I have a Trutrak autopilot installed,
and would like to track a gps and DG . I've been looking at a lot of
equipment and it's like getting a drink from a fire hydrant. I'd appreciate
any advice and suggestions at this point. Thanks

Roy,
This stuff is highly subjective, and I would bet that you will find
as many opinions as there are builders. I am not yet flying, but I
have found the GRT EFIS to be a great unit that interfaces well with
the other systems in the panel. You can read more about my choice to
go with the GRT, as well as the installation here:

what about two tecnologies in the panel?
Eletronic and mecanic.
I´ve choose to install an EFIS Dynon D-10A, GARMIN 196 and an EIS GRT.
Added an altimeter and airspeed, each of them aside the EFIS.
Now, I´ve got three redundancies in the panel for speed, altitude, compass, etc...
That was my salvation for the first flight, ´cause my Dynon became out of work before the
first flight. The display turnned crazy and aft few seconds the message "impossible to
determine attitude" appears.
