What have people been doing with the wind shield fairing.
The options are...
1- attach clips and bond the bottom of the wind shield to the forward
deck with proseal. Then fabricate a removable fiber glass fairing which
would be fastened with counter sunk screws to the forward deck. The
advantage is that replacement of the wind shield would be facillitated.
2- attach clips and bong the wind shield to the forward deck with
epoxy. Fabricate a bonded in position fiber glass fairing. I have seen
a few examples of this and I was impressed by the seemless transition
from forward deck to wind shield. The disadvantage is obvious that in
the event of a wind shield replacement major reconstruction would be
required.
What have you done or plan to do???
Bruce.

Bruce 99% of builders bury the windshield in the fiberglass. I can't
imagine having to replace the canopy unless you buggered up the rest of
the airplane or cracked the canopy somehow.
I have heard of someone making an aluminum fairing for this area...

Matt, Danny, tks for the comments. I lean toward epoxy in as well.
That's likely what I'll do and paint after.
Bruce.
