Greg,
You expressed my feelings perfectly.
What it is that Jim has seen on this group to elicit such a comment as
"I'm un-impressed" is beyond me. And _I'm_ the Yahoo?
If what happens here doesn't live up to his expectations, depart! But
parting shots aren't necessary. Jim could have emailed Doug directly
asking how to get off the list; why make a statement?
I can't imagine how someone with the patience to build an airplane
can't have enough patience for a list to grow to the size of the
RV-list, or big enough to get a _lot_ of information from.
Our projects start out in plywood boxes and finish up beautiful
aircraft... I think we can wait for a list like this to mature - but it
will only happen if we stay here and make it happen.
So, to change the tone I ask the list: How much material did you have
to trim off the side of the S-glass cowl to make them fit on a -6?
I'm measuring my top cowl to the 17 3/4 inch mark and am almost into
the honey-comb material. Makes me nervous. Seems like too much
material.
Comments?
