Home -> Vans Air Force topic: "rvpilot@j..."/ VIRUS ALERT

Fellow RV-ers...

I received an email with attachment from the above address, and the subject line said "Congratulations
jerry2dt". Because the screename had "rv" in it, I tried to open the attachment but no dice because my
Mac didn't recognize the file type. I forwarded it to a Windoze buddy who thought it was virus infected.
I then tried to contact "rvpilot" and that name was inop. So in a short time, someone sent me and possibly
others that file, and then closed out the screename. It doesn't take much pondering to suspect someone
out there might have it in for us RV types. Or... if it is legit maybe "rvpilot" could identify himself.

I hate to speculate on who the perp might be, but there was a certain party a while back who got tossed
from the RV boards for egregiously boorish behavior. Could it be he? Nawwww.... he'd never stoop so low....
I am curious, though. Anybody else receive this?

My Norton AV picked up a slew of viruses in the last few days. It
looked like someone with rv lists in their address book got hit by one
or two. Couple of exe files and an old macro that jumps into the
Microstuff office and raises hell.
