***Please help spread the word on this!***

First things first: Make sure everyone is aware of the existing P-49
Prohibited Area at Crawford. Normal dimensions are a 3nm radius and up
to 5,000 ft. MSL. Continuously in effect. This area is clearly
indicated on the San Antonio sectional chart. The Secret Service will
talk personally to violators, then the FAA will take their turn by
processing a Pilot Deviation (we don't like doing the paperwork,
either).

Second: At this time, no expanded TFR (Temporary Flight Restriction)
area is planned for June 1st. However, things can change, sometimes
on late notice. Historically, when the President is at the ranch, the
TFR extends for a 10nm radius up to 10,000 ft. MSL. The best way to
get the most current dimensions is to listen to the Waco Regional
airport ATIS (freq. 123.85), or call and ask Waco Tower ( freq.119.3
or by phone (254) 759-3021).

"Suggested" Arrival Routes:

>From the West and Northwest: over Lake Whitney (F50) or Clifton
(7F7) airports to Valley Mills (9F1) airport; then follow TX highway 6
(it's on the chart) to Scott Field (31TX). Note: In the event of a
10-mile radius TFR, then suggest proceeding to Lake Whitney; then
direct to Scott Field (don't use highway 6).

>From the North and Northeast: to the Waco VORTAC (115.3); then
southwest to Scott Field (31TX). This slightly traverses the Waco
Class D airspace but the tower has been advised to be aware of
traffic inbound to Scott Field and no one should be sought out for
punishment!.

>From the East and Southeast: proceed to the highway 6 "Twin
Bridges" on the south end of Lake Waco (lake just south of ACT and
west of the city-you can see this bridge on the sectional); follow
highway 6 westbound approx 7 nm to Scott Field (31TX). Again, this
might barely clip the Class D airspace- don't worry about that.

>From the South and Southwest: proceed generally over the Temple
VOR (110.4) and/or McGregor airport (PWG) to Scott Field (31TX).

ATC Services:

For those who want/like/need ATC radar services (traffic
advisories, workload permitting and/or vectors towards Scott Field):

If you are 30-40 miles out, you can call Waco Approach on 135.2.
If you are 20-25 miles out, call Waco Approach on 126.12.

All aircraft should try to call our temporary "ATC control tower" on
122.9 5-10 miles out, if possible.

If we are using Runway 17, plan on right-hand traffic pattern.

As always, see and avoid :-).
