I have been waiting for a new Warnke prop since August for my O-320
150hp RV-4. I just got a call from Margie Warnke thanking me for my
patience and that she hoped to be shipping it within 7 days. I
currently have 400 hours on a Sterba prop that I will keep as a great
backup. Can anyone tell me what is involved in replacing the Sterba
with a Warnke? Will I need to buy a new spinner or crushplate? Any
help would be appreciated as I did not build my plane (I cheated). AH!

If you are wanting to be able to switch back and forth I would have a
complete package from the backplate forward that fits the particular
prop.
Comparing my Warnke to my original Irlbeck prop I think you will need
the following
Spinner-depending on how nice and tight you want it to fit around the
blades.
Spinner back plate-unless the alignment of the bolt circle exactly
matches your old prop. Your old one might work, I have one that works
on two different props.
Your crush plate should work, mine interchange.
