"To all of our customers:
Due to a major electrical problem, we lost our main in-house
server Monday May 20th (not web server). This server controlled our
sales software and credit card approval software. As a result, we
will be approving credit cards with the same small handheld credit
card machine we use at the airshows, and invoices will be created
using our point of sale laptop also used at the shows. There should
not be any major impact on our service or our commitment to ship the
same day orders are placed, however, all invoices will include a
credit card machine receipt for the sale.
It is important that you call orders in early in the morning
(1.800.OK.AVERY) during this period if you want to be sure they do go
out the same day, as we are down to one workstation for order
processing.
We should have a new server up by early next week.
We thank you all for being such wonderful customers, and hope that
you will be patient with us while we work to overcome this problem."
