I could be wrong but I always thought Slick mags were a throw away
item. At any rate, the best experience I had was with Gene Mano of
Maxwell's Magneto Shop in Daytona, Florida. 1(800) 255-5805.
Very honest guy and does good work.

If you are the builder of the aircraft I would suggest
that you buy an overhaul book and then order the parts
from Aircraft Spruce or some other supplier and do it
yourself. It is not hard to do.

You are right concerning the older Slick Mags. The
newer style can be overhauled and many suppliers carry
the necesary parts.

dear Greg,

Try Aircraft Systems at Rockford Int. Aiport in Rockford Illinois. I have dealt with them for year and found them to be the best (not cheapest) accessory overhaul place in the Midwest. They are scrupulously honest.
