Home -> Vans Air Force topic: locking fuel cap

Author: "J. H. Phillips" <jhphillips@...> Time: Tue Sep 10, 2002 5:31 am PDT Link

I'm interested in using locking fuel caps on my completed RV6A.
I don't want to "rebuild" anything - just want to find caps that fit and
lock in the current holes. Any recommendations or comments?
Thanks in advance.

John, call Van's, they have them there. Not cheap and they would not fit my -4, but had they fit, I would have bought them anyhow. About $93/ea.

I looked them up on the web site and they state that they will NOT
fit the existing hole. Only for those building their tanks.

Unless there is one that they carry that is not on the on-line
catalog.
