Author: "Doug Reeves" <vansairforce@...> Time: Sat Sep 14, 2002 8:26 am PDT Link

Yesterday, DAR Mel Asberry did the inspection of our RV-6 (which I
now call 'Flash').

First flight more than likely next week - weather permitting. Jay
Pratt will be the test pilot, as I am still in transition training
with Alex DeDominicis.

Jay Pratt took the standard 'Mel handing me the pink slip' photo
which you can see at the following URL if you're bored:

Best to all,

Congratulations Doug! When you took the plane out to RV Central, I didn't
realise that you were SO CLOSE to being finished. Have fun, fly safe.

Way to go Doug!!.
Now listen you geek mister. I want full on-line video of the first
flight. Since you'll be on the ground, I expect a play by play. And I
want it on-line.
Good luck and we will be thinkin about ya on that first flight.

Any words of wisdom in the DAR check you'd like to pass along?

Bring money <g>.

Just have everything that is called for in the 'paperwork' section of
AC 89-90A (I think that's the number). He had us sturdy up a couple
areas of wire with tie wraps and and few other odds and ends. I made
it up to be more of an event in my mind than it actually turned out
to be.

BTW, I used Mel Asberry.

Best,
D
