SNIPThis method didn't work for me. I initially used all brass "T"'s and male
pipe-thread adapters for the instruments; the ones that use a small
olive-shaped crushable piece of soft brass around the outside of the tubing
so it won't pull out of the fitting.
The hose isn't strong enough to resist crushing or kinking when the collar
is tightened. Every one of mine leaked-only a little, but together, they
added up.
Ended up buying all new Parker QuiknTite fittings at a local fitting supply
house. They turned out to be cheaper than the brass anyways.

Don't forget that you have to put a little brass sleeve inside the poly tubing before you can compress the "olive" shaped ferrule. It's easy to overlook those little sleeves and Van doesn't explain it very well.

Also, while I'm on the soapbox, here's 2 other sealing tips: 1) Never use teflon tape on anything except pipe threads. 2) Never use silicone RTV around fuel or anyplace where it can get inside your engine or fuel system.
