Jack...

The MSP-42 rivet is .125 and the #30 drillbit should be .1285, so maybe your
bit is slightly undersize. In my case, I have a drill index of all letter,
number and SAE drill sizes so when this happens I just grab my digital
calipers, measure everthing and just use the appropriate drill bit. You might
have to go to a #29 bit to make everything work. Just for drill (NPI :), I
went and measured 5 of my #30 bits and none of them were .1285, varied from
.125 to .127 These came from Avery so quality probably as good as you're
going to get. One thing for sure, you don't want any sloppy holes on those
rodends. HTH.

Subject: MSP-42 blind rivet drill size

what drill size is used for this blind rivet? (MSP-42 blind rivet). It
is called out for the pushrods (6 in each end). If it's not #30,
which I have already drilled in one end,.......what can you use as a
substitute rivet that fits #30? Or do I buy a new pushrod and start
over? *&%#@

thanks, Jack
