Bonjour Monsieur,
I do not believe that the holes drilled will compromise the structure. Be sure to deburr them. If you want, send the photos to Van's and have the engineers take a look.

Olivier,
There is nothing wrong with the holes that your drilled. In fact, a
lot of guy's ribs will look very similar to yours. The pitot tube
hole is already there on everyone's ribs. A lot of people are using
the Dynon AOA, and the hole you drilled for that is exactly where I
drilled mine, just in case. Also, where you have the 5/8" hole, I
have a 1" hole for conduit, plus, I drilled an extra 1" hole on the
bottom, in case I want to run dual conduits, just like Phil
Birkelbach did. The only hole that I don't have is the top 7/16"
hole, which can't hurt (it's just like the bottom one for the AOA).
If you are worried, then by all means, contact Van's, but I'm sure
they are going to say no problem. These are what we
call "lightening" holes.
Tracy.
