Home -> Vans Air Force topic: Duckworks Landing lights

Guys et gals,

Thought I’d put in a good word on Don Wentz of Duckworks who supplies the
landing lights sold by Vans.

I purchased the lights from Vans and decided to use one more platenut to
attach the Pre-Formed Plexi Lens to the leading edge. Getting the platenut
was not a problem but getting the little stainless screws was.

I emailed Duckworks asking them some questions as to retrofitting HID later
on and also if they could send me a couple of screws – free of charge of
course as charging 50 cents or so was more of a hassle for everyone than
just sending them over.

Don answered my questions knowledgeably and sent me the screws plus a few
more – that’s what I call customer service.

As for the lights – they are simple, rugged and easy to install – I am glad
I made the choice – round 100w just in case I were to go HID later on.
