Home -> Vans Air Force topic: Canopy Trimming

Hi all,

I'm at the initial stages of trimming my RV6 tip up canopy. All I've
done so far is trim front, rear and sides up to the start of the clamp
marks (Parallel lines). I put the canopy on the fus for an initial look.
The canopy appears very long and it seems that I will have to trim about
5" off the rear end just to get the front end to rest on the canopy
forward skin.
Does this seem right? It just seems like a lot to trim!

Thanks
Andy Lawrence
