I am at the point that I need to do my initial cutting of the canopy
on my RV-9A Tip-up. The plans say to trim the excess material
(clamping area) off of all sides (sorry I don't remember the exact
wording).
When I look at the canopy frame I see an area with some ridges that
go all around the canopy, which I'm assuming were the clamping
areas.

The picture shows what I am talking about.
Now, should I remove all of that material so that I have cut up to
the top of that marking around the canopy? I sure don't want to
screw this up.
Thanks,
Ron
