I just finnished up the wings and was checking out
motion ect.. and wanted to ask , any of you others
I was moving the alierons back and forth and it
seems
like its kinda binding ever so slightly on the skin
are those suppose to be rubbing?> it will go past
the
point but its rubbing really bad although nothing is

scratching the alieron skins it seems too tight of
tolarence whats the story on that.. once it breaks
over
past on the down swing its very hard to pull back up
through the tight spot.. any idea? solutions ?

Danny..

I wondered the same thing when I first completed the ailerons and
attached them to the wing. However, don't forget the down travel
limit is only 15-17 degrees. It might be that you are moving them
farther than required. Jack #90508

Which plane are we talking about here? I'm looking at my RV4 wings in a cradle right now, and the ailerons freely rotate downward all the way until they are flat against the underside of the wing.

I just comleted the last skin and the wings are
upsidedown, so the direction they are binding would be
in the up position whats the full movement from center
up and down or should they go all the way in both
directions, its not connected to the bellcrank (small
rod undone) but I don't think it could go very far , I
need to connect that back, but I needed to open up the
hole some the small rod is hitting ..

Danny,

You might want to check the rivets on the inboard aileron bracket,
the ones that hold the two pieces of the bracket together. The
rivets should be "flush side outboard." Don't ask me how I know.

Tracy.

I think I found out since I don't have the control rod
hooked up , I am pushing them past the control area
that they need to be clear of.. there not suppose to
go that far up.. I just was moving stuff all the way
past what its suppose to do.. they never go that far
up , my mistake..

thanks..
