Home -> Vans Air Force topic: prop oil line plug

Author: "build9a" <eckdahl@...> Time: Sat Dec 11, 2004 6:29 pm PST Link

I have a lycoming 0-320 D1A with a fixed pitch propellor. I removed
the prop governor and the oil line from the governor to the front top
of the engine. What is the part # or description for the plug that
fits in the hole left when the fitting is removed. I have the plate
that covers the now removed prop governor, but not the plug for the
front of the engine. Will a steel AN814-6 do the job? thanks, jack

I would think that would be fine. See what other plugs in the engine are and use the same, either steel or AL.

I think that would be a 1/4 or 1/2 inch NPT plug, allen head type. I have
one here in my shop I could ship it to you next Tuesday. Or you can get one
at Napa.
