I plan on having a Garmin 430, two axis autopilot and secondary com
radio. I was thinking to have someone prpare a wire harness for me.
Any recomendations for suppliers for this type wire harness.
Anybody made one themselves that can comment on the difficulty on
making one yourself?

I just completed upgrading my GX50 GPS and Signtronics audio panel with a GNS430, PMA6000, GI-106A and also added a Dynon EFIS D10A. The PMA6000 required PS Engineering staff to wire the headphone/mic harnesses to the audio panel for the warrantee to be affective. That was the easier part; interfacing with my existing Terra NAV/COM, existing marker beacon receiver, and the NAV/COM side of the GNS430 was equally intensive. The harness from the GNS430 to the GI-106A OBS was a large effort. Also the GNS430 interfaces with the my JPI EDM 700C fuel flow data, and the Navaid Device single axis auto-pilot. The complete installation took me about 45 days of nearly full-time work.
First determine precisely where all the trays will be "screwed in", in order to get a handle on how long the wire harnesses need to be. Consider harness routing and how they will be tied down. If you are still in the building stage and have easy access the behind the instrument panel, now is the time to do all this.
The factory wire harnesses will not be cheap; the simple headphone/mic for pilot/copilot to the PMA6000 cost me $170 plus shipping. The harness between the GNS430 and the GI-106A is 20 times more complex. Also because the factory does the harness, does not in my judgment released the builder from a complete continuity check, which is not at all difficult or time consuming; it just needs to be done so that if something doesn't work, at least the harness is not suspect.
BTW, the wiring diagram for the GNS430 connection to the GI-106A shows the shield on the wire pairs grounded at both ends. I questioned this to Garmin, both on the phone and with their tech guy at the Long Beach AOPA convention. They sort of said geee, perhaps you shouldn't do that. I have always read not to ground at both ends, because of ground-loop problems. Anyway, I left "pig-tails" on each end of the shields, in case later on in the installation, I learned otherwise. However at the hook-up on the audio panel end weeks later, I inadvertently connected one shield at both ends. This caused the pilot mic jack barrel to be grounded directly through the airframe, which the installation instructions clearly stated it should not be. That problem took a bit of trouble-shooting.
You will need to know how to wire any second radio with side-tone if needed; not a big issue, but if it's not done nothing will be heard while transmitting. My old Signtronics did not cut out the VOX on transmit as does the PMA6000, so my #1 Terra radio did not have side-tone wired. Had to go back and do that. The GNS430 is internally wired for side-tone.
It's not "rocket science" to do it yourself; but the old hack-kneed caution of RTFM and if that doesn't work FOLLOW the FM is extremely appropriate.

You need an Approach Pro Hub for ease of installation. I bought one for the same setup.

Wiring (as Wayne said) isn't rocket science. You can do an acceptable
job soldeing if you have the right equipment. I like the Weller TC-202
soldering station. The tips are temperature controlled and easily
changed. There are a lot of different shapes for each temperature. I
like using the hot tip so I can get in, heat the joint, add solder and
get out in a short time. If you use a cooler tip, it takes longer for
the joint to heat up and the solder will wick way back up under the
insulation. This piece of wire will fracture over time due to
vibration, and the insulation will hold the wire so failure isn't
evident. Talk about a troubleshooting nightmare!!!
Solder joints should be shiny, not dull.
Acetone and a small brush will clean the flux off the solder joint.
For stripping the wire I use a razor blade and a rubber boot from an
alligator clip ..... don't ask me why the boot works because I don't
know. It just does.
Also, get a good 'solder sucker'. to help fix the 'Oh s...s".
Use the right size heat shrink tubing to cover the connector pins after
soldering .... and use a good heat gun and not the iron.
Clean the soldering iron tip often and re-tin before you shut it down.
The last thing is practice. Just like welding or riveting .... the more
you do, the better it looks.
Hope this helps.

I have essentially what you're talking about, with a 430, Icom A200 for
the 2nd comm and a 2 axis Trutrak. John Stark/Stark Avionics sold me
the avionics and the wiring harnesses. The harness for the 430 was
$250, I believe, including the serial outputs for the Trutrak. His
harnesses made installation easy. I'd recommend his service. His prices
are also some of the lowest.

DARN IT (*&$(*&%$)_*(#(*&*****
Why didn't I ask that question before I started those 45 days in hell.
Knowing that such stuff were available I would NEVER have done it myself.
Steve, unless you have a strong desire toward self torture, get the FastStack. I went to there website and figured my installation would have cost ~$1200 and taken 5 days to install.
To do it yourself, particularly as in my case, in a plane that has been flying, the rats nest of wires is a significant "skeleton in the closet".
DAMN!!!!!
