Hi all,
Well, I've just spent the better part of two days carefully sculpting my wheel pant/gear leg intersection fairings out of clay, and late today got all the glassing done. tomorrow I get to cut and (try to) remove them. My question involves the cutting. Do I just follow the existing mating line between the two wheel pant halves, which runs perpendicular to the fuse centerline, or do I start there and then turn to follow the gear leg itself. I'm sure either would work, but I wanted to hear from others first. Incidently, in spite of what others have said, I think the fiberglass is actually kind of fun. The clay sculpting, on the other hand, is tedious as heck. Thanks to all in advance.
