Need to make a decission on a landing light system and would prefer to
go with the duel wingtip 75W Halogen lights from Creativair. My
concern is the amount of light it will put out. Would love to hear
back from anyone that is currently flying with them or a similar
system such as on the -10 about their capabiltiy.
Thanks,
Mike R.

I used the Creative Air 75 watt lights and they give, what I believe, is
plenty of light for on airport take off and landing.
Good Luck, Robbie

Hi Mike-
Aiming the lamps has a lot to do with it- see:
http://websites.expercraft.com/n51pw/index.php?q=log_entry&log_id=5259
Still using the 55s and still perfectly "adequate", but in the interest of
continuous improvement, still looking for 75s- anybody got a source?

I canned the wing tip lights after my first night landing at a dark field,
basically couldn't see crap. I then installed the duct works in the LE as
much as I didn't want to, but it seemed the only alternative for decent
light. I out an HID in the left and halogen in the right, works much better!

Can you mention the type of lights they were. I have been considering the
Creativair lights also.
