All,
Now I've come to the windshield areas, does anyone have a solution to
the 'inside view' of the glass/epoxy areas on the windshield, and of
the outside view of the front bar of the slider canopy? It seems that
something like the practice in the auto industry, where there is a back
transition 'stripe'comprising a 'gradient' of dots fading to clear from
solid area would be perfect. Is there anything like this available?

Allan,
Aircraft spruce has a black dye that you mix with your epoxy, I used it in the first couple of layups on the windshield and it worked great. Looks nice from the inside.

Allan,
I mixed some BLACK dye with my resin/glass. Purchased it online at a Marine Supply store. Don't remember the vendor but I would "GOOGLE: epoxy resin black dye" and see what happens.
The view from inside the cockpit is a nice solid black area where the resin/glass meets the plexi. Looks great if I must say so myself.

It occurs to me that TAP PLASTICS sells resin dyes too for fiberglass
work. Since I've not used their product, I don't know if it's the
same stuff you guys are talking about...
